Tissues Anyone?

FORTY NINE

So I got sick. It's been rough. Much Ado About Nothing opened Friday. Since I was sick Thursday, I couldn't go to work, so I spent the afternoon helping put finishing touches on the set.
Above is a candle holder in my bathroom right next to the tissue box. It's been a common sight for me this week.

Happy Birthday DH!

FORTY EIGHT

DH rocks at life. He is officially a private pilot AND he turns 18 today. He worked his butt off to get his license, we are all very proud. Had a surprise party for him at Old Chicago tonight and KL (his gf) brought toy planes to celebrate and they didn't fly very well. Until they started shooting them with rubber bands. Then they FLEW. Above is the whole crew, DH is third back on the left behind myself and PH.

Planes :-)

Scholarship Overload

FORTY SIX

No school on Monday!! Very exciting. I spent the day relaxing and researching scholarships. Then I organized all the info I need for each one in a GoogleDoc and I was really proud of the organization. It makes me really happy. :-) Then I went to Leann Chin with KS (yumm!), then we watched TV at my house til I had to bring her to work. PH put together a group to go snow tubing, so off I went with PH, JW, KL, HR, and BS. Such a good time, it was just good old classic fun. Gotta love 9pm McDonald's runs.

Sleepy Sunday

FORTY FIVE

Sunday I got home from church at like 12, hung out, then took a 3 hour nap til 4. What a weekend of naps. I've taken more naps this weekend than I have in the past 5 years. Then Dad and I watched Gran Torino, then dinner, then I watched The Holiday by myself, then went to bed. Kleenex's were my best friend. :-)

Sweethearts

FORTY FOUR

Saturday night was the Sweetheart's dance, so we all got dressed up and had pictures, went out to dinner, and danced until it was time for our after party at SL's house. What do my friends and I do at our after parties between midnight and 5am? Drink and engage in other risky behavior? NOPE. We watched 4 Disney movies. In this order: Hercules, Mulan, Toy Story, and The Little Mermaid. I love my friends. Above is all the boys of the group. It was the only picture I took all night.

SEN10RS SEN10RS!

FORTY THREE

It was class color day on Friday! Freshman in brown, sophomores in yellow, juniors in red, SENIORS IN PINK! Such a good day. It was a half day to begin with, and we had a pep fest and man pageant. So. I had 3 classes 30 min each between 8 and 9:42. Then went to the man pageant (basically a bunch of ridiculous senior boys who compete to become Mr. Minnetonka. Including talent, fashion, and questions. SO FUNNY.) and pep fest followed the pageant. We were out of school by noon. It was a wonderful day. After that I had lunch, took a much needed 1.5 hour nap, went sledding, then went to the swim meet!! They lost, but did a great job. :-)
Above is AG in AD and BD's arms. Everyone was head to toe in pink.

Bonus Pictures!

SF, PM creeping, KS, myself, MC, and JK at the bottom all waiting for the Man Pageant to begin in the theatre.

Here is all of us after the swim meet! A bunch of them painted their stomachs to spell "LETS GO TONKA." I don't think a swim meet has seen that much school spirit in a LONG time. It was insane. We were very loud. Adney, our principal, gave us the nod of approval.

CONGRATS PATIENT A!

FORTY TWO

Thursday was Decade Day, not too many people dressed up for this one either. I completely forgot to take any pictures, so here is my ceiling fan at like 11pm thursday night... I like how the picture kind of looks old. But overall its a crappy picture. Sorry!! Mom, Dani Kate and I all went to school for a benefit dinner, then I got my hair cut! That was the extent of the excitement for the day.

I COMPLETELY LIED. Our school competes in a one act play competition each year, and they competed in the state competition today! And they starred! (like winning, 3 schools star out of a lot more...) This is their 3rd year starring in a row. Congrats to the cast and crew of Patient A!

Scrubs!!

FORTY ONE

Wednesday was Scrubs vs. The Office day. Of COURSE I was scrubs. So was MC!! I love that girl. It was a pretty non-eventful day...

Bonus Pictures!! As in TWO.

Here is EF, RS, KL, and myself in our scrubs. Picture courtesy of JL.

I promised them I would put this up. Here is KL and RS. They always take cameras and take random pictures. This made them laugh really hard.

Identity Crisis?

FORTY

Tuesday we preformed our songs. We'd been doing waves in physics, so we made instruments using PVC pipe and measured out the length they should be based on if we were doing closed tube or open tube resonance and depending on the frequency and wavelength of the notes we needed. It was really fun, I played Ode To Joy. Above is DH practicing his song... I can't remember what it was.

Oh, Tuesday's dress up day was Olympic/Jersey Shore/Jersey day. It was confused as to it's identity, so no one really dressed up.

Bonus Picture!

HUGE icicle outside our kitchen window. It's taller than the window itself. So cool.

Pajama Day!

THIRTY NINE

Monday started off my last spirit week at MHS! Heartweek was in full swing with a band playing in the commons, decorations everywhere, and everyone in PAJAMAS. And they served french toast for lunch. What a good day. Seniors got to school as early as 6 for the senior sleepover, it was an early morning. Here is RS, HM, LR, and GS in their PJs and snuggies relaxing at like 7am. Like I said, it was an early morning.

Struggle Day

THIRTY EIGHT

Title sums it up. Woke up all stuffed. Ears, nose, everything. It felt like my head was going to explode out my eyeballs. Dad woke me up saying the cat made a huge mess. Church which was fun. Then I got home after calling in sick from work to find that the dog ate a whole stick of butter. That was a fun mess to clean up. Besides the struggles, it was a good day. The Sound of Music was on TV!!!! It made me so happy. I could sit through that movie as a 3 year old. I love it.

Heartweek this week! Man Pageant on Friday, Sweethearts Saturday, and Senior Sleepover at 6am tomorrow morning for PJ Day. I love my school.

Titleless

THIRTY SEVEN

Saturday was a pretty good day. Work was fun, LM and I got to hang out which is always fun. Then Caribou with JK and MB, who was home from Gustavus. Then I went to Avatar 3D with JH and MC. I love that movie. IMAX was STILL sold out (I was bummed!), so I'm thinking I'll have to go back to see IMAX next weekend. I got home at like 11 and went straight to bed. Then realized that I had no picture. Hence... another phone picture. Here is my board of flowers! Mostly from shows and dances. :-)

SB: There is the photo strip (on the upper right corner of the board) from our sweethearts dress shopping day at MOA last year. PROOF that we did a photo booth. Gotta love reminiscing in Bible Lit.

What a WILD Day

THIRTY SIX

My camera died. It was a sad day. I'm sorry about all the phone pictures... It's gonna happen a lot.

Yesterday we went to Wild Mountain for Ski Club, it was a really fun day. I got a TON of homework though. I have more homework assigned this weekend than I had all week combined. Go figure.

BOING!!!!

THIRTY FIVE

Such a good day in the shop. MK, the crew "coach" essentially (he tells us what to do and makes sure we dont hurt ourselves too badly) went to St. Louis for his nephew's first birthday, so we were pretty much left to ourselves thursday and friday. Bad idea. We had to demolish a couch. What better thing to do than make bouncy shoes with the springs!? Here is PH (left) and HR (right) assembling their shoes. We took a video of PH running in his bouncy shoes and emailed it to MK. I can only imagine that he laughed and shook his head.

Live In Harmony With One Another...

THIRTY FOUR

Romans 12:16

Wednesday at youth group we talked about how important we all are. And we put our youth pastor, JB, on Hot Seat (where we put on person on a chair in front of everyone and we all get to tell them how amazing and important they are to us). It was JB's birthday LAST WEEK and we forgot. And it was about time we told him how important he is to us. Then in small group we played with MJ again... Love that little girl. She knows very well what a camera phone is!!

Too Small?

THIRTY THREE

This is AB. He is really big. That is KL's jacket. She is really small. AB was cold, so he borrowed KL's jacket. I love my friends.

That pretty much sums up Tuesday. Didn't do much. School. Crew. Home. Simple day.

Clean Up, Clean Up, Everybody Do Your Part!

THIRTY TWO

I worked with the cutie SS on Monday, Feb 1st. :-) It was a good evening shift. We gossiped (as always) and did some intense cleaning. Like... cleaning that hadn't been done in over a year. Did you know our stove is silver? Not gold. Huh. Who knew.

SS got creative in her cleaning. She ended up on top of the stove to clean the hood. I laughed really hard at this one.

Signs of Praise

THIRTY ONE

Sunday the 31st was a typical Sunday, except Signs of Praise started up!! JK and I teach little kids in our church the sign language to worship songs, and after working on them for a few weeks they perform them for the congretation! We did it last year and got a late start on it this year... Oops. Then I was off to work. Above was my gorgeous view driving home from work.

Chocolate Heals All Pain

THIRTY

So one thing I forgot to mention. At ski club on the 29th I fell. Twice. The second time took me out. Long story short, I couldn't see where I was going and fell hard. Messed up my shoulder, went home in a sling. Haha, typical me. Thinking it was my rotator cuff just a tiny bit.

Anyway. I spent Saturday 1/30 taking as many painkillers as possible and trying to find a sweetheart's dress for RS. Then I went to watch friends play boot hockey and then to RS's house to watch Ratatouille? I dont know how to spell it... The movie with the rat chef. :-) Chocolate was my friend.

Love Is In The Air?

TWENTY NINE

During open hour on Friday 1/29, KD and I decorated the whole lunch room for her to ask her bf, AB, to Sweetheart's. AB likes food, and knows ALL the lunch ladies, so it was perfect. Here is KD with her signs!! They say, "Sweethearts Goose? -K" She calls AB Goose, so it was anonymous yet definately not. So cute. :-)

I then came home from Ski Club to find cookies!!!! But Dani Kate dropped one of hers, and Sawyer Baby was on that cookie SO FAST. It was incredible. But Dani was fast too, this was the end result of that fight for power. So funny.

Patient A

TWENTY EIGHT

Thurday, January 28 was a theatre filled day for me! I worked in the shop building my project for Much Ado About Nothing, our winter straight play by Shakespeare. I'm building a gate. After that I met EF and LA at a local high school to watch our winter one act play, Patient A, compete in the first competition of the year! We were one out of 3 schools to continue on to semi-finals!!

Sweethearts? Por Favor?

TWENTY SEVEN

Wednesday 1/27 I asked my friend BD to the Sweetheart's dance!! It was a complicated way to ask but really funny. Basically the gist was that he was going to be woken up at midnight by an alarm I hid in his closet, and then he would have to find the alarm and then find something else based on a note with the alarm. But the alarm went off early!!! I don't know why... Oh well. He said yes!

SECOND SEMESTER SENIOR

TWENTY SIX

Wow I'm behind. Tuesday, January 26th was the first day of the new semester!!! So scary. I have less than half a year of high school left. Classes are good, it was an easy day and then I worked with CM. Aren't we beaufiful? (Beautifully tired!!)
